The United States and other western countries imposed illegal economic sanctions on Zimbabwe in 2001 after they dared to reclaim their land stolen by a tiny sector of former British colonizers. The impact of these sanctions have devastated the economy of the entire southern African region.
The 2019 Summit of the16 heads of state in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) condemned the illegal economic sanctions and declared October 25, 2019 as the day SADC member states will collectively voice their demand to lift the sanctions through various activities and platforms until the sanctions are lifted.
Join the December 12th Movement and the Friends of Zimbabwe in Pan African solidarity at Zimbabwe Anti-Sanctions Day in New York City.
