International Solidarity

On April 30, the D12 organized one of the many global mass demonstrations, to say to Western imperialist—“Hands Off Traoré!” Approximately 200 people rallied in front of the French Mission and then marched to the United States Mission to the United Nations.

Coordinated demonstrations were part of a global day of support for the nation of Burkina Faso and President Ibrahim Traoré’s Pan-Africanist and anti-imperialist stance. D12 Chairperson, Omowale Clay declared: “We came here to the French mission to let them know that they will never again steal our resources. They will never again steal our rights. They will never again steal our wealth. That which belongs to the people must be returned to the people.”
